A Birthday Celebration at the zoo take 1

It is hard to believe, but Morgan's 'cousin' Lucas (our good friends Matt and Georgia's little boy) is already 1! How the past year is has flown by. Thankfully this year we are in town, instead of across the country in Philly, to help celebrate. For the first part of his birthday celebrations Georgia arranged a playdate at the zoo back while we were all still on fall break.

Morgan of course insisted that one of the first stops be to feed the giraffes.
There was a total of 15 kids in our group that day.

I couldn't get all the kids in one shot!

About halfway through the zoo we stopped at the playarea for a nice long break. Thankfully I have figured out how to rig Morgan's walker onto the back of her wheelchair so she was able to have both at the zoo and could get down and play with her friends.

Lucas loves Morgan's walker too. He likes to hop on the back and 'help' Morgan walk. It is hilarious to watch. At one point they were going slightly up hill so Luke was really having to dig in and push. He started grunting he was pushing so hard. They are just too cute together!

And yes, like siblings or true cousins, they love to pick on each other!

Morgan and all the 'big kids' hanging together. From left to right is Seth, Austin, Alana, and Morgan. It is so nice having so many good friends with kids right around Morgan's age.

The 'big kids' decided to start a game of hide and seek. Morgan and Seth decided to hide together from Alana who was seeking them out.

After a busy morning at the zoo we were all ready for some lunch. The moms decided to make a quick trip to In and Out Burger. As soon as we walked in Morgan recognized the place and asked "Milkshake please." Too funny, but being the mean mom I am (and trying to watch her weight) I made her stick to her water and pb and j while I pigged on a burger and fries. I am so bad!

After getting home Morgan was anxious to explore the goody bag Aunt Georgia had given all the kids. Morgan's favorite item as you can tell was the skull stamp. Thanks Aunt Georgia!
