Christmas at our house

Christmas morning around 9:30 David's family arrived at our house for some breakfast and gift opening. As usual Morgan was spoiled with presents by everyone, especially her Uncle Brad. It took Morgan almost 2 hours to open all her presents; of course she wanted to play with each gift after opening it so it was a few minutes in between each gift.

Here is one of the gifts she got from Grandma and Grandpa. It is a Black and Decker tool box with all the tools. Perfect for spending time in the garage with Grandpa; one of Morgan's favorite pastimes. Here is Morgan and her Uncle Brad opening just a few of the gifts he brought for her. This was her favorite; it's a Little People barn with a farmer and all the animals. As soon as she opened it she shouted "E, I, E, I, O!" Now every time she asks to play with her barn this is what she says. It is so cute!

Morgan got this adorable outfit along with some great books from her Great Aunt Carol and Uncle Dave. She loved this outfit and immediately wanted to wear it so she stuck her hands through the arm holes of the overalls. She then refused to take it off. It was so funny to watch her try to then wheel her chair around the room because she could barely move her arms. This is one of my gifts from Donna and Charley, but Morgan wanted it for herself.

After opening all her gifts we hung out with the family for a little while longer. Then they all headed back to Donna and Charley's to clean up (we did breakfast in our pjs) and get ready for Christmas dinner over there. We stayed home for a bit to clean up ourselves and let Morgan nap. We then headed over there for a very YUMMY dinner. Donna out did herself having a Honey Baked Ham, Prime Rib from AJs, and a turkey that they had brined (spelling??). It was all so delicious.

After a long dinner and lots of visiting we sadly had to say goodbye to everyone. It was getting late and we still had lots of packing and laundry to do to finish getting ready for our trip in the morning to San Diego. We are so thankful that we had the chance to spend the holiday with David's whole family.

A "Real" Pony

Christmas morning we woke up early and put Morgan in her wheelchair so she could drive out to the living room and see what Santa had left under the tree for her. We were a little nervous about how she would react to her gift. She had asked Santa for a "real" pony. We knew that Santa would not be able to bring her a real pony as our house just isn't big enough, but we also knew he would bring her the closest thing he could find. When Morgan wheeled into the living room her face lit up with excitement and she shouted a "REAL" pony. I guess she got what she wanted after all. She immediately jumped on (with our help) her new rocking horse and started riding like crazy. She was so excited.

Morgan riding her new pony and giving her best "hammy" smile. She loves her new pony. We had to practically pry her off of it to open all her other gifts.

After riding her pony we opened her stocking from Santa. Morgan got some new hair clips, a Snow White toothbrush, a bell for her bike, and a few other small items. David and I gave Morgan a LeapFrog Junior Tag reading pal for Christmas. It is really neat but we definitely need to find time to sit down and teach her how exactly it works. Along with the reading pal she got several books to go with it and a travel case to carry it all.

In addition to the reading pal books Morgan also got a lot of regular books. David bought her the poetry book Where the Sidewalk Ends. Her favorite book she received that morning was from Stacy and the kids (her babysitter). It was an Elmo and Abby book. As soon as she opened it she started shouting and asking to read it.

After opening all her gifts we had a small breakfast as a family. We then began preparing for our bigger Christmas breakfast when David's whole family would be coming to our house for breakfast and gifts.

Twas the Night Before Christmas

On Christmas Eve we woke up early and headed over to Donna and Charley's house. David's entire family consisting of Aunt Carol, Uncle Dave, cousins Christina and Greg, Christina's boyfriend Ron, and David's brother Brad were all in town for the holiday. Since we had the whole family together for the first time since our wedding 7 1/2 years ago we decided it would be a great time to get family photos done. We hired our good friend, BJ, to take the pictures. We all met at Donna's house around 9:30 and headed up the road to an open desert area in Sycamore Canyon for the photo shoot. After that it was back to the house for some lunch. The guys then took off for a day of golfing at Del Lago. Donna and Carol wanted time to visit with Morgan and offered to watch her so I could run home and finish packing for our trip to San Diego and cleaning for Christmas morning at our house. I was all up for a few hours to myself to get all of that done.

By four o'clock I was back at Donna and Charley's ready to start our Christmas Eve. When I arrived at their house I found Morgan exploring in her mini wheelchair. She has been fascinated all month with the Christmas tree and had asked Grandma to turn it on for her. Grandma being the good "therapist" that she is told Morgan she would turn it on once she went in the room and tagged the tree. While Donna was waiting for Morgan to tag the tree she went about cooking in the kitchen. This is when I walked in and found Morgan quietly sitting by the tree stealing a candy cane off of it.

Morgan had wheeled right over to the tree and spotted the candy canes. She carefully proceeded forward and reached up and pulled one off the tree.

Not aware that I was watching she then proceeded to try to eat the candy cane (with the wrapper still on). That's when she realized she was caught red handed.

Being the good listener that she is Morgan sweetly pulled it out of her mouth and with much regret followed directions and put the candy cane back on the tree.

After that we settled down for an evening of food and fun with the family. We had a great time visiting and catching up with everyone. It started getting late, so we took Morgan in the front room by the tree and gave her her first Christmas gift. It is a family tradition on my side of the family that every Christmas Eve we always get to open one present and it is always new pjs. Morgan was allowed to open two this year: the first was princess pjs with Snow White on them and the second present was Elmo slippers. She loved them!
Morgan and David opening her princess pjs and Elmo slippers.
After getting a bath and putting on her new pjs Morgan and I settled down to read a book before heading home to bed. We read the story "Twas the Night Before Christmas." Morgan was so excited for the next morning to wake up and see what Santa had brought.

Santa Day at the Conner's and an early Christmas

Since 2001 my dad and JoAnne have been hosting Santa Day at the Conner's. It is a great day where they invite all their grandkids and great nieces and nephews and anyone else's kids to come to their house for arts and crafts, a visit from Santa, and an ornament exchange. For the past three years we have of course brought Morgan up for this wonderful day and have also started celebrating Christmas early that same weekend so we can spend Christmas at home in Tucson.
This year we were really excited because Morgan is at an age where she is really starting to understand Christmas, Santa, and presents. She was so excited about Santa Day; it was all we had heard about all week long. We were also excited because this would be the first trip up to Phoenix when Morgan could bring her wheelchair to get around. My dad and JoAnne bought a portable ramp for their house to make it accessible for Morgan. She did a great job driving through their house and up and down the ramp. I think she made it the whole weekend without leaving any major damage. :) Morgan wanted to test out the ramp before all the kids arrived, so she and her Pa and Daddy decided to take a walk.
A few minutes later Morgan's cousins arrived. She was so excited to see Lindsey and Caity.
Here is Morgan and all the kids making their ornaments. This year Morgan made a light bulb ornament. The kids then had to write on the back what they were blessed with this Christmas and hang their ornaments on the wreathe. Morgan said she was blessed with an amazing family and group of friends.
Here she is putting the ornament on the wreathe.

After making their ornaments it was time to get ready for Santa to visit. All the kids headed out to the backyard to get ready. Part of the tradition is that JoAnne plays the guitar and all the kids sing "Jingle Bells" to get Santa to come. This year my niece Caity is learning to play the clarinet and has learned to play "Jingle Bells" so she was going to join in. It also happens that "Jingle Bells" is the one Christmas song that Morgan has been learning how to sing. We have these bells hanging on the door to our laundry room and any time she hears them ring she will say "Jingle all the way". It is really cute. So anyway, JoAnne found a bell for Morgan and gave it to her to ring during the song. Morgan was so mesmerized by JoAnne's guitar that she wasn't ringing her bell. That is until she spotted Santa. Once she spotted him she went crazy! She was beside herself with excitement. It was so adorable to see. Santa went right over to her to say hi.
Santa stopped right in front of Morgan and said hi. He asked her if she had been a good girl to which she of course replied "yes."
After patiently waiting to sit on Santa's lap it was finally Morgan's turn. When Santa asked Morgan what she wanted for Christmas she said without any hesitation a "real pony." Yes, that's right, she wants a REAL pony!

After Santa left we had a fun ornament exchange and then all the guests left and just the immediate family stuck around to hang out for the evening. Morgan had a great time hanging out with her cousins, especially her newest cousin Tyler (my step-brother Nolan and his wife Sarah's son). Morgan loved Tyler and kept asking to hold him and rock him.
That night Caity and Lindsey spent the night so they could hang out with Morgan in the morning and be there for our early Christmas celebration. Morgan of course was up bright and early so Caity came in and played with her. Caity is such a great big cousin, she takes really good care of her little cousin. Morgan loved getting to play baby dolls and Barbies with her cousins. She even got her daddy and Pa involved.

After playing for a while and having a big breakfast we sat down to open gifts. Morgan's cousins made her some very special Christmas cards. Her Aunt Jen, Uncle Mark, Caity, and Lindsey gave her a really neat LeapFrog game called scribble and write. It goes through all the letters of the alphabet and explains how to write the letter. It then has dots that light up on a screen for you to trace to form the letters. It is so great for Morgan; she has been playing with it all day.

Morgan got Caity and Lindsey the cozies from Justice that they had been wanting. They were very excited to put them on.
Nanny and Pa gave Morgan three new books. One is a really neat photo album with pictures of Morgan from birth to now. The other two books are LeapFrog Tag Junior books...hmm I hope she is getting a Tag Junior for Christmas. :)

Shortly after that it was already time for us to head back to Tucson. Morgan was very sad to leave. She adores hanging out with her Nanny and Pa. We have already heard her ask several times to go back to see them. It was a great weekened.

I love this age!

No, not my own...please don't remind me that I am another year older today. It is the age Morgan is at that I am loving. I know many complain about the "terrible twos" but for the most part I would call them the "terrific twos". I am not trying to say that my daughter is perfect and doesn't throw fits, because she does; good ones too. But I love that her little personality is really coming out and she is voicing her opinion. This morning we were awoken around 6:00 am not by the usual baby cries but by a very mature little "Daddy, water please." It was so adorable hearing this tiny little voice coming through the monitor. She then very sweetly said "I see Mommy." Meaning she wanted me to come in her room and see her. Instead, David went in and picked her up and then brought her in to our bed. That way she could wake me up with the present I had been asking for, for her to sing "Happy Birthday" to me. Now, she didn't exactly sing it, and she needed some help, but she was able to repeat after David the entire song. It was just so sweet! As I said, I love this age. Morgan is just so much fun right now with all the new things she is learning to do and say everyday. She is just the most wonderful thing in this world and I am so lucky to be her mom.

A "Santastic" Day at the Hospital!

Last week was a very long, but exciting week for our family. This was the week that we were making our final trip to Philly (for a while) and Morgan would be getting her casts off. Something she had been asking for everyday, several times a day. She would look at me and say "Mommy, casts off." I would just smile back and tell her "yes, in ___ days." We counted down each day awaiting the casts coming off.

Our long week began with Morgan and I leaving Tuesday morning for a day of work (for me) and play (for Morgan) at her grandparents. As soon as work was over and my sub plans out and ready I headed to Donna and Charley's to pick up Morgan and Donna. Donna was going to drive Morgan and I up to Phoenix and then stay there while we were in Philly so I wouldn't have to drive home Thursday night by myself (she really is the best mother-in-law!). So we loaded the car and headed to Phoenix.

Three long hours later (have to love PHX traffic) we finally made it to my Dad and JoAnne's house. My sister, Jen, and her two girls, Caity and Lindsey, were there too so we could have dinner as a family. Morgan was so excited to see her cousins again and her Pa and Nanny too. She just adores all of them and had so much fun!

In the morning we got up bright and early to leave for the airport. My Dad and JoAnne dropped us off and we were on our way. This trip we were stopping in Nashville, changing planes, and then going to Philly. It was a smooth trip with no major complications, just the usual challenge of changing a poopy diaper on a child with two long leg casts in that tiny bathroom. But we landed in Philly, and this time it was early, 6:30 PM. We made it over to our rental car and then headed to the hotel...so I thought. I was so concerned when driving about not missing my exit onto the 1 (which I missed last trip) that I accidentally got in an exit only lane to exit onto the 676 freeway. Panick set in for about 30 seconds until I realized it was the freeway I use going from the hospital to the airport so I kinda knew where I was. As soon as I was officially on the 676 I saw an exit for Broad St. (where the hospital is) and figured out where I was and how to manuver back to the 95. After that slight detour we were on our way again. Before heading to the hotel we made a quick stop at Target as we were already running low on diapers. I grabbed a few things, stopped at McDonald's for some fries and a coke (totally had a craving for that combo) and then made it safely to the hotel.

Since we arrived at a descent hour this time we actually got a little rest. Morgan and I put on pjs, read some books, watched a little of "So You Think You Can Dance" (Morgan loves to watch people dancing and she tries to dance along) and then closed our eyes. By 6:30am we were up and getting ready. We were also now counting down the hours until her casts would come off, 2 hours!!! After checking out we stopped by Starbucks for a much needed coffee and headed to the hospital.

When we arrived at the hospital we went through the regular routine of checking in, getting her bracelet, our visitor passes, and then heading to the 4th floor. Within a few minutes they came out to get us and took us to the casting room. At this point Morgan lost it. She started crying hysterically. She knew what was coming, the saw! I think she also thought that we would be putting more casts on. Jason, one of Dr. VB's assistants came in and sawed the casts off. A very kind nurse came in afterward and presented Morgan with a present as a prize for surving her casts. Morgan was able to choose from a book or a baby, a very tough choice for her as she loves both, but the baby won out. Instantly the very purple, girly baby became "Baby Yuke" as all her babies are now called (After Aunt Georgia and Uncle Matt's precious baby Lucas).

With baby in tow we now were sent over to the orthotic department. Once there we were shown to a room to wait for her braces to be fitted. Within a few minutes other people for the clinic started to arrive. As we were sitting waiting I heard one family walk past and the mom say, Oh, I think that was Morgan. A few minutes later another mom walked pasted and said the same thing, this time she was followed by her adorable little girl, Avery, who I instantly recognized by her curls. Today was a bracing clinic day and some families from our AMCsupport.org group were going to be there too! We were very excited to meet up with families from our group and have a mini playdate. Once we saw Avery I stuck my head out of our room and said hi to her mom, Jill. We then spent then next couple of hours in between brace fittings playing and visiting with Avery, Emma, Grace, and Anthony. Morgan had a lot of fun with the kids. She played babies, dressed up with Emma's beads, traded stickers with Grace, and oohed and aahed at baby Anthony. It was wonderful to have the chance to speak with other parents going through the same things and hear about their experiences. Jill shared some great tips with me regarding the braces as her daughter as worn the same ones for over a year now. It was also amazing to see how well some of the kids are doing, both Avery and Grace were walking completely unassisted. They were just amazing! In the group Morgan was definitely the talker! She had so much to say to everyone about everything. She may be shy at first, but once she warms up and she is not shy at all.

While all of this fun playing was going on we were also taking breaks to visit with Dr. VB and Jen, the orthotist. They had no problem fitting Morgan for her right leg brace. It slide right on without much trouble, it is just REALLY tight but they said it needs to be in order to work properly. The left leg as always is a whole different story. Her left knee is really funcky and not alligned properly as most people, including the doctor's here in town assume it is. So when the orthotist went to put on the brace she totally put her knee in wrong and started bending it the wrong way (just like what happened in town to cause all these problems). I started trying to politely tell her that she was doing it wrong and that where the smiley face was drawn was the front of the knee. She said "No, her foot is here, so this is the knee." A little more firmly (as my child is screaming in PAIN) I tell her "NO, this is where her knee is, her foot is not alligned. After hearing the tone in my voice she decided it would be best to take it off and wait for the doctor to come in. Sure enough in walks Dr. VB a few minutes later and what does he say "Mom, is right, her knee is here where I drew the smiley face." He then proceeded to try to explain to her that Morgan's tibia is kinda turned and her foot is alligned with the tibia but the tibia is not lining up properly with the knee. So.... now came the question of how do we fix this so the brace fits and her knee bends properly. They decided to remove the lower part, twist it a little and then put it back on. It is doing its job right now, but I wish they would just make a whole new brace. The upper thigh part just doesn't fit the thigh right because of where it needs to be placed and I feel like it keeps twisiting. Anyway, the braces are on, they aren't bothering her too much, and we are mainting the bend.

After fitting the braces and playing for a while we headed up to the 9th floor where we were told some Christmas activities would be taking place. When we first arrived up there around 12:30 nothing was happening, I think I missed the at 1:00 part of that message. So Morgan and I found a quiet seat on a bench off to the side and sat down for a snack. While enjoying her snack and waiting for the activities to begin the elevator door opend and who should walk out "SANTA." Morgan's face lit up, her eyes got real big, and she said "SANTA!" He spotted her right away and walked over to say hi. Morgan was exstatic. She wanted to sit on his lap right then and there. He said he needed to go get ready (which meant eat lunch) and that he would see her soon. She couldn't wait, for the next 20 minutes or so all she kept saying was "Santa, Santa". After finishing up her snack and cleaning her up we got up and started walking around, the activites would begin any minute. As we were walking around the elevator doors opened once again and this time two clowns got off. Again Morgan's face lit up! She was very excited to see them as well, my child has no fear of characters or clowns. One of the clowns stopped to say hi and gave Morgan a smiley sticker. We were then approached by a hospital employee and offered "Shriner's Dollars", some fake money they were handing out to all the children at the hospital. They had set up an entire Santa's workshop where the kids could shop for free with the dollars for gifts for siblings and their parents. Then they would even gift wrap them for the kids. It was really nice! I decided to decline the offer though as I didn't have any way of carrying more stuff home and Morgan doesn't have siblings. We just wanted Santa. So a few minutes later the big guy was ready. Off into Santa's lap she went without a fuss. The only fuss was when she had to get off. They took a photo and printed it on the spot and then had cute foam frames you could make for the picture. Morgan and I went over to make a frame and sat down with a volunteer named Ana. She was very nice and helpful and we chatted the whole time. After completing the frame Morgan wanted to say hi to the clowns again, she even let one hold her for a bit. We then spotted Dr. VB, so I went over to ask if Morgan could take her picture with him as well. It was then that he introduced me to Ana, his wife (the volunteer who had helped us with the frame). So I decided to have Morgan take her picture with both of them.

After all that it was time to leave for the airport. We made it through without too much trouble, just a nice pat down for both of us at security as her braces set off the alarm. Then we were headed from Philly to Denver, and then Phoenix. Denver was freezing! It was 9 degrees when we landed and 5 degrees when we finally took off over an hour delayed. We landed in Phoenix and then had to take her braces off as she was in a lot of pain. I wanted to give her a quick break and check on everything. It seemed like she was doing okay, no majoy reddness that wouldn't fade in 20 minutes so after a short break Donna and I wrestled them back on and at 12 started our drive home. Donna drove so I could climb in the back with Morgan and comfort her. Once she finally fell asleep I tried to too. I think I slept for about 40 minutes. We then arrived to Donna's house at 2 am where David and Charley were both waiting for us. David was staying there too for the night so he could help with Morgan and I could get a few hours of rest. By 2:30 I was in bed...but by 4:30 or so I was awake again. I could hear Morgan up fussing and the wind was hollowing really loud so I couldn't sleep. By 6 I got up and we decided to pull the braces off and give her a bath. She really enjoyed the bath and the break from the braces.

In all it was a great trip. We are now scheduled to go back on January 7th to check her braces and also get a back brace to help with her kyphosis. They wanted us back in two weeks (right before the holidays) and I said no, we need a break. We have not decided yet who will be taking her on this trip. We will keep you all up to date. For now there are pictures below from our trip. Enjoy.

Taking it easy

As always Morgan was a trooper on our trip. Trying to get through the airport turned out to be a bit more of a challenge than I thought it was going to be. Donna had purchased a GoGo Baby Kart for the carseat so that we could just roll the carseat through the airport with Morgan in it. We used this instead of bringing both the carseat and a stroller. This worked amazing and was very easy to use. The challenge came with then carrying the duffle bag, backpack/diaper bag, and the pillow. We have to bring a pillow for Morgan to sit on as she can't just sit in the seat with the bend in her knees. So, trying to get all of that through security and to the gate was a challenge. And of course at security they have to pull us aside and swab Morgan's casts, you know just in case we are smuggling something in her casts somehow. Once we made it to the gate I arranged to get preboarding as there was no way I could carry Morgan in the casts, the pillow, and two bags down the skinny aisle of the plane. Once on the plane things went smoothly, Morgan did amazing! On the way to LA we read books and then she settled down for an afternoon nap. Then on the flight from LA to Denver she enjoyed watching Elmo and on the final leg from Denver to Philly she slept. We landed in Philly and I arranged to get Morgan a wheelchair and skycap to push her. This was the best thing I could have done. It made it SO much easier. She sat on the pillow in the wheelchair while the skycap pushed her and I threw the heavy duffle bag into the carseat and wheeled it through the aiport. We then caught the bus to the rental car. When the bus driver got off to help us board she immediately said hi to Morgan and said how she recognized her from the last two trips. This was the first of several people who recognized Morgan, she is so cute it is hard to forget her. Once we got our car it was no problem getting to the hotel since I we knew where we were going. Plus with google maps David was on the phone navigating me the whole way just in case. We arrived at the hotel at 1:15am and quickly climbed into bed. Unfortunately neither of us slept well. Morgan was moaning most of the night, so by 5:15am I was up and getting showered. We checked out of the hotel by 6:15 (I think that was the most expensive nap and shower I have ever taken) and headed to gas up the rental, pick up some breakfast, and go to the hospital.

Morgan recognized the hospital right away and by the time we entered the casting room she was already crying "no, no". She now knows what is coming and does not want anything to do with it. She is very done with casting. I tried my best to calm her and explain that this was her final one. We got the casts removed and then had about an hour to wait until we saw the doctor. During that time I was able to clean up her legs a bit being careful not to erase the smiley faces (Dr. Van Bosse drew a smiley face on each knee weeks ago so he knew precisely where to bend; Donna accidentally washed these off last week :) ). Then we spent the rest of the hour enjoying have her legs free (well at least I did). It was so nice to be able to hold her on my hip again, snuggle her really close, and just lift her without the extra weight. I tried to get her to weight bear, but it was too painful. She wanted nothing to do with that. We did spend a little time sitting on the edge of the bed and she let me kick her legs to try to stretch them out a bit. It is amazing to see the difference in her Passive Range of Motion (PROM), I am just hoping that one day she will be able to actively use all that she has gained.

After the hour wait Dr. Van Bosse and his intern came in to recast. Morgan was already so fussy about the whole thing that he did not want to upset her even more by measuring where she was at. He needs her as relaxed as possible to cast. We laid her down, turned on Elmo, and began casting. He put her left knee slightly past 90 degrees and felt that she was doing really well. Before he casted her right knee he asked me how she was doing during the week. I mentioned that she was really fussy and complained a lot when being repositioned. I also mentioned that positioning her in the high chair, carseat, etc... was becoming challenging with the 100 degree bend because she won't roll her hip out and sit more like a frog (her hips are tight too). He decided then to make it easier on all of us just to cast at 90 degrees. He said that since she had gone to 100 last week she shouldn't lose that. So they finished up the casts, Morgan chose light blue again, and we were done.

We then headed straight to the airport, again with David on the phone navigating me each step of the way. When returning the rental car they have this great new service called "Quick Trip" for families. When you pull in to return the car if you have a child in a carseat they just jump in the driver seat and take you right to the curb of the airport rather than making you take everything out, climb on the bus, and then go. It makes it so much easier, plus the driver was really nice and helped me get a skycap and wheelchair and unloaded everything for me. We ended up with this really sweet old man as the skycap. While I was arranging everything and taking care of the rental car stuff he stood there talking to Morgan and even put her jacket on her because it was a bit chilly. He then escorted up through security and to our gate. For the flight home we flew to Phoenix. We were then supposed to continue on to LAX, change planes, and return to Tucson 6 hours later. We decided after booking the tickets (it was way cheaper to book to Tucson) that we would just get off in PHX and have my sister pick us up. I am so glad we did. It was a long flight from Philly to PHX (5 hours) and we were exhausted. After landing in PHX they once again gave us a wheelchair to use, but this time since we couldn't arrange a skycap ahead of time (since we weren't supposed to be getting off) I had to push the chair myself. That was okay though because I did not have the carseat this time, just the two bags. I had checked the carseat through to Tucson (again I couldn't get it in PHX since we weren't scheduled to get off there).

Jen and the girls then picked us up curbside. After fighting some PHX traffic, stopping at In and Out Burger to get Morgan the milkshake I promised her, we were on our way home. She slept almost the whole way home. We then had a great evening and morning visiting with her cousins. Morgan went to bed when we got home while the rest of us stayed up and played Scategories. Caity is awfully good, or should I say creative, at this game. In the morning Morgan was very excited to see the girls. She kept asking Lindsey to read to her. She spent a lot of time playing boo boos with her baby doll and Lindsey in her playroom. We were all so glad that after a long trip we could spend time with the girls and Jen.

Thanks to the fact that they didn't push Morgan as hard this time with the casting she is in a much better mood today. She is still sore and complains when positioned certain ways, but her Saturday was much better than the previous three. I am hoping that means she will have a good week and we can all relax and enjoy our Thanksgiving. I think we are all in need to some time to relax and enjoy some yummy turkey. We are then ready for our final trip so we can get these casts off and get the braces.Morgan hanging out in the airport in her rolling carseat. She enjoys her new ride and likes to go "hands-up" when being pushed through the airport.
