Going home!

By Wednesday morning we were very anxious to get out of the hospital and get home. We couldn't wait to be home with both our girls and truly begin our life together as a family of four. From the beginning of our journey to becoming a family of four David and I made sure to include Morgan in every moment of preparing for her sister. We wanted her to know what a special thing it was going to be becoming a big sister. We planned that when we left the hospital we wanted to leave as our new family of four.

Morgan stayed at home on Tuesday night enjoying a sleepover with my dad and stepmom, JoAnne. In the morning they got Morgan all ready to bring her sister home. Morgan and JoAnne decorated the house with welcome home signs for Makenzie. Then around 11 they headed up to the hospital so we could bring Makenzie home.

Makenzie all dressed to leave. Thanks Aunt Georgia, Uncle Matt, Lucas, and Macie for the adorable going home outfit.

Our family of four ready to go home.

One last quick visit with Karen and Dede.

Morgan making sure Makenzie was secure and ready to go.

Just like she did with Morgan 5 years earlier Karen had to help us get our little peanut nice and secure in her carseat.

This time I got the true experience of leaving with your baby. The wheelchair ride out!

Morgan was stuck in a corner of the elevator....it looked like she was in time out. Having two wheelchairs and three adults was a tight fit.
Morgan and I racing for the door.

Almost there!

Our two girls in the backseat together!

On a side note.... I had to post this picture so you could see how the two girls compare:
